Erik's memorial service set for February 3rd at 2:00 pm.

The celebration of life* for Erik Esselstyn is scheduled for Saturday, February 3rd, 2023, at 2:00pm. The location is the Old Meeting House at 1620 Center Road, East Montpelier Center, VT 05602.

My understanding is that it will also be streamed online via YouTube or Zoom. Details about the online option will be shared on this site when I know more. UPDATE: I've posted that information here.

In the three weeks between today and the service, I will try to add some sort of content to this website every day. Some days it may just be a photo, but I figure if I announce the aspiration, maybe I'll be more likely to achieve it.

Dad/Erik's obituary was published in the Montpelier paper and on their website , but their page evidently isn't visible to people in some other countries. Also, the online version combines all the paragraphs into one, and it's not clear how long it will stay available. Hence, it seemed to make sense to publish it here as well. This  9-minute video  is an excerpt from a TV show out of Boston that profiled Dad/Erik and his unexpected recovery from his (first) bout with cancer. In addition to the inspiring message from an underdog success and the fun of seeing him at age 44 (about half the age he was when he died), you might get pleasure from the 1981 fashion choices and plaid earthtone kitchen wall-to-wall carpeting.
